Real Madrid have ‘laughed’ at Paris Saint-Germain’s £213million (€250m) asking price for Kylian Mbappe.
The superstar capped his return to the first team with a goal off the bench in PSG’s 1-1 draw with Toulouse on Saturday, where he seemed to indicate his future – for the next few months at least – would lie in the French capital.
PSG have reportedly slapped a whopping price tag on the 24-year-old, who has a year remaining on his contract.
However, Real ‘laughed’ when they heard of the Ligue 1 side’s £213m price tag as they have no intention paying such a large fee.
PSG will have to open the door for Real Madrid if Mbappe states he want to leave in the coming days.
If negotiations start, the La Liga giants will make an initial offer of £111m (€130m) to secure Mbappe’s services. They will not exceed £149m including add-ons in their final offer.
It is the latest development in a now several season long drama involving the three parties. And despite many anticipating that Mbappe will eventually turn out for the 14 time European Cup winners, his current employers have shown themselves more than capable of standing their ground.
