Bayern Munich are prepared to sell Sadio Mane for just £17million this summer in an effort to raise funds for Tottenham superstar Harry Kane.

Mane, who endured a turbulent debut season in Bavaria following his £35m move from Liverpool last summer, is one of seven Bayern stars on the chopping block.

The serial Bundesliga champions had hoped to lure Kane to the Allianz Arena for around £70m this week, capitalising on the fact that Spurs could lose their superstar for free next summer when his contract expires.

However, Tottenham are primed to reject Bayern’s second offer and have placed a £120m asking price on the England captain.

Still keen to land Kane now and avoid a frenzy with other clubs at the end of next season, Bayern have reportedly decided to hold a summer fire sale in the hope of strengthening their transfer.

Bayern hope to raise £17m from Mane, who headlines the seven-man list, £12m from Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer and up to £34m from Barcelona target Benjamin Pavard.

The most expensive player on Thomas Tuchel’s transfer list is 21-year-old Dutch starlet Ryan Gravenberch, who is hoped to raise up to £42m.

Meanwhile, Bouna Sarr, Alexander Nubel and Yann Sommer are all expected to depart for fees worth less than £8.5m.

Were Bayern to sell each of these players for their respective asking prices, the German champions would raise approximately £113m and almost certainly be able to afford Daniel Levy’s valuation.

Tottenham hope to convince the 29-year-old into staying in north London and are set to offer him a lucrative deal worth £400,000 per week.

Mane scored seven goals in 25 Bundesliga appearances last campaign, failing to impress the Bayern fans following his move from Anfield.

The Senegalese international made matters worse by punching team-mate Leroy Sane after Bayern’s Champions League defeat against Manchester City in April.

Mane’s game time significantly decreased after the dressing room bust-up, and he was benched for the final three games of the Bundesliga season.

The winger was linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia last month, with Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq reportedly interested in landing his signature.
